KWFT was delighted to participate in The Eldoret National Show 2017 which took place from 8th to 11th March at the Eldoret Showground. The National show served as a great platform for KWFT to reach out to farmers, potential farmers and entrepreneurs who visited our stand to learn more about farming, entrepreneurship as well as receive financial advice.

The National Show was officially opened by Hon. Willy Bett, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. The event was also graced by the Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Jackson Mandago and his Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno and ASK Senior Management who were well received by the Managing Director Mr. Mwangi and the Operations Director Mr. Chege when they visited the KWFT stand.

This year’s show ran under a new theme; “Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade”. The theme is inspired by the need to encourage farmers to adopt new technology for sustainable, profitable and efficient farming in Kenya. The show attracted a total number of 130 exhibitors, who showcased significant inventions, developments and unveil new technologies in agriculture and trade.

The KWFT stand was strategically located at showground and in it was a demo farm displaying the KWFT home improvement portfolio – with a house (Nyumba smart), solar products, chepkube, water tank, poultry house, dairy farming, garden with drip lines, fish pond and a beekeeping kit.

In addition, KWFT showcased some of the agri-assets that a farmer can be financed by the institution to undertake value addition processes and increase efficiency at the farm. They include maize sheller, milking machine, milk pasteurizer, Milk ATM, silage harvester, chopper, posho mill, planter, solar incubator, water heating system and a multipurpose motor bike for irrigation.

The KWFT’s ingenious setup fostered the Institution to gain recognition as a strong brand hence positioning KWFT in Uasin Gishu County and Rift valley region as a whole. The KWFT team also participated in different categories of the ASK judging exercise and upheld excellence by receiving awards in three very competitive categories as follows:
